Accelerating completion of border schools
At Son Kim 1 Primary and Secondary Boarding School in Son Kim 1 commune, preparations for the new school year are well underway. The school has 36 classrooms and is designed to meet the needs of nearly 1,280 students, with a total investment of about VND 140 billion.

Given the difficult terrain, harsh weather conditions, and tight construction schedule, contractors have had to mobilize maximum manpower to ensure the project stays on schedule.
As the school enters the final stage of construction, 75 officers and soldiers from the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command have spent their holiday working with the school and construction units to complete the construction.

Despite the heat, dust, and demanding work, the troops have helped with cleaning, removing construction materials, improving school grounds, and arranging desks, chairs, and teaching equipment. Their efforts are helping complete the remaining work so the school can be put into operation as scheduled.
Luong Sy Hiep, Principal of Son Kim 1 Primary and Secondary Boarding School, said that despite numerous difficulties, the border guard force has mobilized large numbers of personnel to assist with site clearance and cleaning, helping construction workers maintain progress on the project.

A similar effort is taking place in Huong Khe commune, where the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard has deployed officers and soldiers to help complete Huong Khe Primary and Secondary Boarding School.
Troops have taken on many practical tasks, including cleaning classrooms, removing construction materials, arranging equipment, and sanitizing areas inside and outside the school.
Despite the tight schedule, the atmosphere has remained energetic and positive, with every soldier hoping to help students begin the new school year in spacious and clean classrooms.
For the border troops, supporting local schools is not only part of their coordination with local authorities, but also reflects their care and responsibility toward local people and future generations in the border region.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Mau Phuc, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command, said the unit had directed forces stationed in the areas to help schools clean facilities, arrange furniture, and improve their surroundings in time for the opening ceremony of the new academic year.
The Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard has also presented notebooks, school supplies, and essential items to disadvantaged students, while continuing the “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border posts” program and other models.
These practical activities are helping schools prepare more effectively for the new academic year while encouraging students in border areas to strive for better academic results.
High expectations for new schools
The newly-built boarding schools are not only transforming educational infrastructure in border areas but also creating better learning and living conditions for local children.
The new classrooms carry the hopes of schools, parents, and local residents for a better studying environment where students can grow and pursue their aspirations.
Le Thi Can, a resident of Vinh Thang village, Huong Xuan commune, Ha Tinh province, said she had been eagerly awaiting the new school and was pleased to see its spacious facilities. She added that she was looking forward to the opening day, when she could bring her children and grandchildren to school.
As the new academic year draws closer, the combined efforts of border troops, local authorities, and residents have added warmth and momentum to preparations.
From Son Kim 1 to Huong Khe, the dedication of border guards is helping ensure that school facilities are completed on schedule, giving students in border areas better studying conditions and greater hope for their futures.
