Thanks to the financial assistance from the General Staff, local forces built a gratitude house for Mrs. Vo Thi Thuong, a daughter of martyr Vo Phung who sacrificed his life in the national resistance war against the French colonialist.

The construction of the 35sq.m. house was started on April 1, at a total cost of VND 165 million, half of which was given by the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army. Local forces also contributed working days during the construction of the project.

In his speech, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son congratulated the recipient on receiving the new house. He underlined that this good deed showed the spirit of “healthy leaves envelop torn leaves” and sentiment and gratitude of troops of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army in order to share difficulties with national contributors. At the same time, he hoped that Mrs. Thuong’s family would further uphold their revolutionary tradition and make contribution to developing their hometown.

Meanwhile, he urged local authorities and armed forces to continue to pay due attention to taking care of policy beneficiaries.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son and local leaders presented gifts and necessities to the recipient.

On this occasion, the general and local leaders inquired after and granted gifts to war veteran Ho Thanh Hong in Huong Tho commune, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province.
