Border guards support needy patients
PANO – Cadres and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command are carrying out a charitable program “Compassion porridge" at the Nghe An Oncology Hospital.
Every Saturday, they cook rice porridge and deliver to over 400 poor or needy patients who are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Patient Nguyen Van Lan, 65 years old from Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province, said that his family is stricken with financial difficulties because of his hospitalization. He has received rice porridge for three months. This program is a great encouragement for the needy patients to overcome their difficulties and diseases.
