The defense minister made the request at a meeting of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) to review task performance in October and roll out missions for November held in Hanoi on November 2.
Reportedly, in October, the Central Military Commission and the MND led the whole military to carry out military-defense tasks comprehensively. Specifically, combat readiness regulations were observed strictly while the skies, seas, borders, sovereignty and sea economy activities were firmly protected. In addition, the military sent troops, vehicles to and provided medical supplies for COVID-19-hit localities and adjusted work plans in accordance with the situation of the pandemic. Together with boosting patrol and guard to ensure security at their barracks, military units actively improved the quality of political education for troops.
Notably, numerous meaningful and practical activities to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea were held and outstanding collectives and individuals participating in the Army Games 2021 were honored and awarded in a timely manner.
