The Vietnamese Special Sprint team is participating in the ongoing Army Games 2022 hosted by Russia.

Talking with the team members, General Tien hailed them for their active and proactive practice over the past days. He asked them to continue completing the preparations for the competition, keep good health conditions, and good spirit to achieve highest possible results.

The deputy chief of the General Staff also reminded them to strictly observe the organizer’s regulations and ensure safety during the competition.

Earlier the same day, General Tien and his entourage attended the opening ceremony of the Special Sprint event of the Army Games 2022 held in the city.

Addressing the event, General Tien expressed his belief that the event will be successful with absolute safety. He wished the participating contingents good outcomes.

This year’s Special Sprint event sees the competition of ten contingents from the host Russia, Belarus, Cambodia, Armenia, Abkhazia, Mali, Congo, Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, and Vietnam. They will undergo three stages of the event, including maneuver to transport, reliable guard, and safe area.

This is the first time the Vietnam People’s Army has sent a contingent to the Special Sprint event of the Army Games.

All twelve members of the Vietnamese Special Sprint Contingent are Vietnamese cadets studying at Zhukovsky Air Force Academy in Voronezh, a city to the south of Moscow.

According to the result of the lot-drawing ceremony, the Vietnamese contingent will compete on August 19, 22, and 25.
