The event was attended by representatives of Jizzakh province, the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan, and local people in Jizzakh.

This year’s opening ceremony in Uzbekistan also saw the presence of observers from Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Mongolia, the countries that do not participate in this year’s event.

The chemical team of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chemical Corps Senior Colonel Le Xuan Dung, and other 18 teams from eight countries joined the opening ceremony.

Participating in the Army Games 2022, the chemical team of Vietnam comprises 23 members to compete in the “Safe Environment” contest.

After the opening ceremony, the Vietnamese chemical team returned to Shazagan training ground in Samarkan province to make preparation for the competition on August 19.

The “Safe Environment” contest within the Army Games 2022 includes three stages, namely “Individual Race,” “Fire Training,” and “Relay.”

Other two contests, including “Field Kitchen” and “Gunsmith Master,” will take place at Foris training ground in Jizzakh province.
