Veterans of Division 320 mark its traditional day

PANO – 500 generals and veterans of Dong Bang Brigade (known as Division 320) met at the Hanoi Capital Command on January 13th to recall magnanimous traditions from 60 years’ of building, fighting and development, and to reaffirm their determination to preserve and promote the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and the traditions of the unit.
Dong Bang Brigade was formed in January 16th, 1951. During resistance wars against French Colonialists and American Imperialists, its cadres and troops took part in 16 campaigns, killed 78,000 enemies, captured 22,000 others, seized and destroyed 57,556 guns of all types, 3,516 military lorries and ships and shot down 507 aircraft.
For its brilliant feats of arms, the unit was twice conferred the title Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.
