NA Chairwoman Ngan confirmed that the Party, State and people have never forgotten the corps’ outstanding feats of arms. Therefore, the Party and State have strived to draw up policies to return gratitude to those who had rendered great service to the nation.

The top legislator said that people and society as a whole have tried their utmost to carry out gratitude activities for revolution contributors and military servicemen’s families over the past time. However, these great efforts and constant activities could not requite the huge losses and sacrifices of martyrs, wounded soldiers and national contributors in the fight for national independence and freedom.

She also said that the Party, State continue directing agencies, branches, localities and entire society to well implement the policies for national contributors, and that the NA will bolster the supervision of the implementation via Q&A sessions of the NA and meetings of the NA’s Standing Committee. She added that the NA would continue reviewing and improving laws to promote the implementation of the policies for national contributors.

The NA Chairwoman hoped that Army Corps 2 with support of the liaison committee would keep building a comprehensively strong unit by improving the quality of training and combat readiness and successfully fulfilling all assigned missions, to deserve the unit’s title of “An army of a lightening speed, great courage and high resolve to win” and the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army and the nation.
