Army Corps 2 asked to be a comprehensively strong unit

PANO – State President Truong Tan Sang on August 19th paid a visit to Army Corps 2, under the Ministry of National Defence.
At the working session, Major General Pham Van Hung, the corps’ Commander, briefed the State President on its current political missions and achievements as well as its historical victories in the anti-American resistance war for national salvation, and in defending the Northern border and in serving the international duty.

In the renewal period, the unit made valuable recommendations to the Ministry of National Defence to improve training contents and methods so as to increase combat readiness quality, enhance troops’ political stance and living standards, and established good relationship with local authorities and people.
President Truong Tan Sang highly appreciated the corps’ achievements and urged it to continue to bring into play the traditions, build comprehensively strong unit, consolidate its cadres' and soldiers’ political stance and loyalty to the Communist Party of Vietnam, in order to be ready to fight and sacrifice for national independence and freedom.
Besides, he urged Army Corps 2 to whole-heartedly support local people to strengthen the army and people ties, and beautify the image and virtue of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”.
