PANO - On August 24 evening, the second full-dress joint rehearsal for the upcoming parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (Mission A80) took place at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

Politburo members Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization; and Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang attended and directed the event.

Compared with the first full rehearsal on August 21, this second session was more disciplined and precise. Formations maintained distance, pace, and posture, reflecting the strength of the People’s Armed Forces of Vietnam. Contingents from Russian, Lao, and Cambodian militaries joined solemnly.

Speaking at the event, Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang praised all participating forces for their great efforts, and improved training results. He urged them to promote sense of responsibility, continue practicing for the grand parade on September 2.

Earlier in the morning, the Air Defense - Air Force Service conducted flight rehearsal over Hanoi with complex formations and aerobatic maneuvers, ensuring absolute safety.
