At the meeting, delegates heard reports on planning work, detailed design, and implementation progress of several key construction projects. Then they made suggestions to refine the detailed designs of projects in order to ensure alignment with overall planning, surrounding architecture, high aesthetic value, modern functionality, safety in use, and effective operation upon completion.

On the basis of the reports, opinions, and explanations from relevant agencies and units, General Phan Van Giang delivered concluding speech. He commended functional agencies and units for their pro-activeness, close coordination in implementing key tasks in line with higher-level orientations, meeting progress and quality requirements. He also gave direct adjustments to certain details in the designs of the projects.
Gen. Giang asked relevant agencies to take note of opinions at the meeting, promptly finalize dossiers and specific plans for the projects, and ensure tight, synchronized, economical, and lawful implementation, and effective management and utilization of the facilities.
Regarding the adjustment of the overall master plan of the National Funeral Hall at 5 Tran Thanh Tong street, Hanoi, he emphasized that any adjustments must be placed within the overall planning of the Capital, ensuring solemnity, consistency, long-term vision, and suitability for organizing State- and military-level ceremonies, while aligning with national cultural traditions and values.
About phase 2 of the project to upgrade Hill 82 War Cemetery in Tay Ninh province, the defense chief directed functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to closely coordinate with local Party committee and authorities and ensure compliance with legal regulations, quality, progress, and aesthetic standards. He stressed that this reflects the responsibility and a token of gratitude of the Party, State, and military toward heroes and martyrs who devoted their lives to national independence and freedom and the happiness of the people.
He asked for close coordination to promptly complete investment procedures, address difficulties and obstacles in a timely manner, and ensure that the projects are completed on schedule and put into effective use as soon as possible.
Apart from above matters, the CMC’s Standing Board reviewed and gave opinions on several other important issues.
