Honored and proud to be Vietnamese
PANO - On the evening of August 27, at the historic Ba Dinh Square and along many streets in Hanoi, millions of residents of the capital together with visitors from across the country and abroad immersed themselves in the solemn atmosphere of the state-level rehearsal for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day.
Columns of troops marched with solemnity, while parade contingents advanced past the grandstand and along the streets to the resounding strains of heroic music, deepening the sense of national pride.
The sound of drums and trumpets, together with thunderous applause from the crowds, created a stirring chorus that evoked the glorious traditions of the Vietnamese people over 80 years of building and defending the nation.
The powerful footsteps of today’s armed forces not only reflect the strength of the military but also affirmed the resilient spirit and aspirations of the Vietnamese people in a new era, the era of nation’s rise. All combined to form a heroic symphony, united by one firm belief that the country today stands stronger than ever, and the Vietnamese people are together writing next golden chapters of history.
At this sacred moment, every Vietnamese was moved by a profound sense of excitement, pride, and honor to be a son or daughter of the Fatherland. It also served as a reminder to the present generation to carry forward traditions, continuously learning, working, and innovating, joining hands to build a prosperous and thriving nation.
