Over the past 75 years, the academy has trained nearly 90,000 cadres and conducted numerous research projects, providing scientific foundations for the Party and the Central Military Commission (CMC) in leadership and direction while contributing to the development of theories on national defense and military building. In recognition of its outstanding achievements, the academy has twice been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, as well as the Gold Star Order and two Ho Chi Minh Orders, among other noble distinctions.

Authorized by the State President, General Nguyen Trong Nghia presents the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the Political Academy.

Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the CMC, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Political Affairs, General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the GDP, commended generations of the academy's officers, instructors, and trainees for their dedication and contributions. He requested the academy to continue renewing its training methods and take the lead in training political cadres and protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Training should be closely linked with practical requirements at military units, with the quality of task performance serving as a key measure.

The academy was also urged to take the lead in military social sciences and humanities research, draw practical lessons from modern wars and armed conflicts, and step up the application of science, technology, and digital transformation.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia asked the academy to focus on researching and clarifying the principles of the Party's absolute and direct leadership over the military in all aspects. It should mobilize experts to review the 40-year renewal process, the 100-year history of the Party's leadership (1930-2030), and orientations for the Party's leadership in the next century.

Regarding the development of the teaching staff, the GDP Chairman emphasized that this is a breakthrough factor. Officers and instructors must have firm political mettle, pure ethics, modern scientific thinking, and a strong sense of self-study and self-improvement. At the same time, the academy should step up the fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, build a clean and strong Party organization, take good care of troops' material and spiritual lives, and maintain an exemplary pedagogical environment.

The GDP Chairman also requested the academy to strengthen coordination with local Party committees and authorities, effectively carry out gratitude activities, continuously improve the quality of training for cadres of the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and expand international cooperation.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his confidence that the Political Academy would continue to uphold solidarity, innovation, and its proud traditions, deserving its role as a leading center for training political cadres and conducting scientific research, thereby contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Viet Nam People's Army.
