During the meeting, Major General Doan Quang Hoa stated that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have instructed military units to closely coordinate with central and local agencies to study and propose to the Party and State to promulgate and supplement various regulations on policies for martyrs' families and national contributors in a timely manner, as well as the work of search and collection of martyrs' remains.

The "Gratitude Movement" has been strictly directed by the Party committees and commanding officers of all units within the military, mobilizing various resources to care for revolutionary contributors. In the past 10 years, the entire military has raised over VND 550 billion for the Ministry of National Defense's "Gratitude Fund," built more than 8,000 gratitude houses, with a total amount of nearly VND 600 billion.
The military has consistently proposed and fully implemented policies for national contributors. Moreover, Party committees and commanding officers of units regularly focus on supporting policies for martyrs' relatives, servicemen's families, and defense employees in difficult situations, as well as personnel carrying out unforeseen tasks or being stationed in remote and difficult areas.

An overview of the meeting |
In 2024, in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day, the Ministry of National Defense will organize numerous activities, such as offering flowers and incense, visiting war cemeteries, giving gifts to national contributors, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces, and retired senior military officers. The ministry will also coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to organize a national meeting for outstanding contributors in Hanoi in 2024.
On this occasion, Major General Doan Quang Hoa presented gifts from the Ministry of National Defense to the national contributors from Thua Thien Hue.
