The timely support has helped ease the financial burden on Phuoc’s family and provide better conditions for his long-term treatment.

Phuoc has always been known as a dedicated and responsible serviceman. In October 2025, he suffered a stroke that severely affected his health. He has since required prolonged hospital treatment and assistance from family members with daily activities.

A delegation from Squadron 2 of Regiment 916, Division 371, presents financial support to the family of non-commissioned Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Phuoc.

His family was already facing difficulties. His elderly mother is ill, while his three children are of school age. Since her husband fell ill, Ngo Thi Thanh Huong has had to care for him while shouldering the responsibility of running the household. His reduced income, coupled with mounting medical and treatment expenses, has placed the family under considerable financial pressure.

Understanding his circumstances, Regiment 916 issued an open letter calling on its officers, staff and soldiers to voluntarily contribute to support their comrade. The appeal received a strong response, reflecting the sense of comradeship, responsibility and mutual care within the unit.

Following the mobilization, the unit raised VND 73 million. The contribution will help Phuoc’s family cover medical expenses and ease some of its immediate financial difficulties.

Representing the unit, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Loc, Political Officer of Squadron 2 and a delegation visited Phuoc at the hospital to inquire after his health, encourage him and hand over the support to his family.

Moved by the unit’s care and support, Huong said that at a time when her family was facing financial hardship and uncertainty, the unit’s support had given them strength and confidence to carry on.

Although many difficulties remain ahead, the timely assistance is a meaningful source of encouragement for Huong and her family as they continue accompanying Phuoc through his treatment.
