MND meets chiefs of Vietnamese diplomatic representative offices abroad
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) held a meeting with chiefs of Vietnamese diplomatic representative offices abroad in the 2024-2027 tenure on February 28 in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Sr. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien underlined that together with the party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy, international integration and external defense relations are seen as an important channel, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for the country’s development, establishing a strategic balance in relations with partners, building strategic trust, enhancing the position of Vietnam in the international arena, and protecting the Fatherland early and from afar.
On the occasion, the deputy defense minister congratulated newly-appointed chiefs of Vietnamese diplomatic representative offices abroad, affirming that the Central Military Commission and the MND spoke highly of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ close attention and coordination in international integration and defense external affairs over the past time, contributing to the synchronous, comprehensive, and effective implementation of external defense relations.

For her part, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her sincere thanks to the MND for the warm meeting, emphasizing that the Vietnamese diplomatic representative offices in foreign countries would closely coordinate with the MND in carrying out external affairs in the host countries, as well as try their best to complete all assigned missions, closely adhere to the requirements of the national development and ensure national interests.
