Last year, the hospital’s leadership, doctors, employees, and soldiers successfully completed and exceeded all set targets. The hospital received and provided treatment to nearly 1 million patients, gave emergency aid to 34,000 and conducted operations on 29,000 patients, up by 40 percent compared to the previous year.

The hospital conducted 13 kidney and liver transplants from living donors, and especially the first lung transplant from a brain-dead donor on a patient in Vietnam.

In his remarks, Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, spoke highly of the hospital’s achievements over the past year.

The general asked the hospital to focus on improving service quality, diversifying forms of medical examination and treatment, actively doing scientific research, and promoting professional qualifications of its staff to deserve to be the leading medical center of the military and the country.

Department of Logistics under the General Department of Logistics honored with the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order

* The same day, the Department of Logistics under the General Department of Logistics celebrated its 40th foundation day (January 13, 1979-2019) and received the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order.

In his speech, Major General Tran Duy Giang, Director of the General Department of Logistics, praised the department for its achievements and contributions to the military’s development.

He also requested the department to continue embracing and implementing effectively resolutions and directions of the Party, Central Military Commission, Defense Ministry, and General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, with a focus on building strong Party organizations and comprehensively strong units at all levels.
