PANO - Voters performing duties aboard patrol vessels safeguarding sovereignty and controlling illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing in Vietnamese waters bordering Malaysia and Indonesia have completed their early voting for deputies to the 16th National Assembly (N.A.) and people’s councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Shortly after the Lunar New Year holiday, the offshore election team (Election Team No.10) of Phuoc Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City, together with the working delegation aboard Fisheries Surveillance Vessel KN 260 under the Fisheries Surveillance Squadron No.2 began an over 1,000 nautical miles journey to reach those voters.
After eight days reaching polling stations at sea, the election team successfully collected early votes from those voters, ensuring full compliance with procedures, electoral principles, and legal regulations, while maintaining absolute safety for personnel and election materials.
