Accordingly, over the past 10 years, the provincial authorities, armed forces, and people have worked together to achieve the goals set out in the resolution of the eighth session of the 11th Party Central Committee. The standing boards of the Party committees at all levels of the province have embraced and implemented the resolution with concrete plans and remarkable results, contributing to raising the awareness of Party members and the people of the importance of national defense.

The provincial Party Committee has paid considerable attention to combining socio-economic development with defense-security reinforcement and building firm defensive areas. In addition, the committee has promoted the strengthening of the whole-people unity bloc and enhanced the quality of training to build a strong armed force in all aspects.

An overview of the event

General Phan Van Giang praised the outcomes of the province in carrying out the resolution of the eighth session of the 11th Party Central Committee, and preparing for the review of its 10-year implementation at all levels. He urged the Party committees, authorities, armed forces, and people of the province to continue promoting their heroic traditions, enhancing solidarity and creativity, and overcoming challenges to implement the Party's resolutions, especially the one on the national defense strategy in the current context.

The defense minister requested the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee strengthen and maintain the Party's leadership and the effectiveness of State management over military-defense tasks. He emphasized the importance of building synchronous and unified defense potential, preparing defense mobilization plans, and coordinating with other sectors to handle complex security and order issues. He also stressed the need to consistently implement the Party's foreign policy, strengthen friendly cooperative relations with border provinces of neighboring countries, and maintain security and order in the region to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developed border.
