On behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense's leadership, Gen. Cuong applauded the unit’s achievements in building the Army Corps, and its troops’ efforts in promoting the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army over the past 45 years.

The GDP's leader also asked the unit's troops to continue promoting the heroic traditions of the military, overcoming all difficulties, and getting ever-ready to undertake and fulfill assigned tasks, deserving the trust of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the people.

At the meeting, the corps’ leadership briefed the delegation on the unit's task performance in 2018 and the first months of 2019.

Gen. Cuong also requested the military unit to embrace the 4th Resolution of the 12th Party Central Committee on promoting Party building and revamping, and the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on enhancing the movement “Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle.”

The unit should strictly maintain its combat readiness posture and observe the military discipline, closely cooperate with local authorities to deal with arising scenarios while continuously improving the quality of training and promoting its troops' political stance, he added.
