Army Corps 2 donates thousands of working days to help locals
PANO – As part of the “Promoting traditions, contributing talents, deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers" movement, units of Army Corps 2 have combined field training missions with mass mobilization in the period of 2014-2017.
Accordingly, they mobilized over 30,000 turns of troops and donate over 55,000 working days to repair 250km of rural roads, and dredge over 90km of sewages. In addition, they also joined hands with people in carrying out natural disasters’ prevention, search and rescue missions and forest fire fighting.
They also visited and offered gifts to policy beneficiaries, national contributors, and soldiers with difficulties. The gifts were valued at over VND 5 billion. Troops of the units built 10 gratitude houses, 7 “houses of VND 100”, 14 houses of comradeship and two buildings, contributing to solving housing difficulties for policy beneficiaries and the units’ needy troops.
