GDP rolls out tasks for November
PANO - The General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) held a meeting on November 1 to review its task performance in October and roll out missions for November under the chair of its Director Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet.
Last month, the whole military carried out Party and political work comprehensively in alignment with plans and having timely, flexible and appropriate adjustments in line with reality.

Highlights in task performance included effective political education, thought management, dissemination activities; prompt preparation for the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the GDP, the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day; devising of documents to guide the organization of all-level party congresses and preparation of documents for the 12th Military Party Congress; assessments and classification of Party organizations and Party members.
Also in October, documents on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) were completed with quality. Press agencies continued spreading the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers among the people. Administration reform and digital transformation were also implemented pro-actively.

Regarding key missions for November, Gen. Quyet asked them to promote pro-activeness, creativeness; effectively perform Party and political work in missions, particularly combat readiness, training, regularity building, and discipline observance.
The GDP chief also asked for better advisory work to popularize the Minister of National Defense’s conclusion on continuously implementing the project entitled “The military prevents “peaceful evolution” in cultural and ideological fields in the new situation,” double check of contents of celebration activities, and further dissemination on military-defense work, disaster relief efforts, and role models; and good performance of routine tasks, among others.
