Delegation from the Polish Ministry of National Defense visits Saigon Newport Corporation
PANO - On March 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland, led by Konrad Golota, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of State Assets of the Republic of Poland, visited the Saigon Newport Corporation.
The delegation was welcomed by Senior Colonel Dang Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the Ministry of National Defense’s Foreign Relations Department; Naval Captain Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Director of the Saigon Newport Corporation; along with representatives from the Ministry of National Defense’s Foreign Relations Department and units of the Saigon Newport Corporation.

Speaking at the meeting, Naval Captain Bui Van Quy reported that in 2024, the Saigon Newport Corporation successfully completed its business tasks with record-breaking milestones. The corporation handled approximately 11 million TEU, with revenue surpassing VND 32,000 billion and profits reaching VND 7,000 billion. The indicators for cargo volume, revenue, profit, and average employee income all grew by double-digit rates compared to the 2024 plan and 2023 performance. Specifically, profit exceeded the 2024 plan by 27% and increased by 32.5% compared to 2023.
In July 2024, the Saigon Newport Corporation had a working session with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City and representatives from the Port Authority of Gdańsk. During the meeting, both sides discussed potential connections between logistics businesses in both countries. In November 2024, the Saigon Newport Corporation was honored to be a speaker at the Vietnam-Poland Trade Promotion Seminar organized by the Port Authority of Gdańsk. The seminar aimed to share experience in logistics development models linked to national defense tasks and attracted the interest of many international businesses.
During the meeting, there was a fruitful exchange of opinions about the cooperation situation and exploration of the Saigon Newport Corporation’s organizational scale and business operations.
For his part, Konrad Golota expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and sincere sharing of information by representatives of the Saigon Newport Corporation. He emphasized that this event was of great significance, helping to strengthen and deepen the cooperation between the two countries and opening up opportunities for collaboration in the fields of maritime economy, transport, and logistics.
