At the conference, having heard the General Staff’s reports, delegates agreed that over the past time, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have focused on leading and directing agencies and units to effectively implement defense land planning and the construction of defense and dual-use facilities. Additionally, there has been effective planning for green spaces and successful execution of training and combat readiness tasks, disaster prevention, and search and rescue missions, as well as preparations for responding to non-traditional security threats and civil defense duties.

The Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels have overcome difficulties, making concerted efforts to complete the assigned tasks. They have effectively conducted political and ideological education work to enhance troops’ political stance and determination to fulfill assigned missions.

Addressing the event, General Phan Van Giang lauded the General Staff and other agencies and units for their efforts and achievements in implementing the planning tasks. He requested agencies and units to strictly follow the conclusions, resolutions, decisions, and directives from the Politburo, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense regarding planning work.

The minister called for a pro-active review of defense land planning, garrisoning strategies, construction of defense facilities and dual-use projects, and green space planning. Relevant agencies within the Ministry of National Defense were also urged to expedite project appraisal and approval processes, technical guidance, and design assessments for the construction of facilities, ensuring absolute safety.
