Department of Operations of LPA's General Staff visits Military Region 4

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh provided an overview of the socio-economic development in the military region and highlighted the achievements of the armed forces of Military Region 4, particularly in the area of defense external affairs between the military region and the units and localities of Laos.

The Commander of Military Region 4 also introduced the traditions of Engineering Brigade 414 and the unit's recent accomplishments, especially in combat readiness training, disaster prevention, search and rescue operations, and bomb and mine clearance.

Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh emphasized that Military Region 4 is committed to fostering the special solidarity, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between the parties, states, militaries, and peoples of Vietnam and Laos, particularly between Military Region 4 and Lao units and localities, to a new level.

Major General Kongthoong Soukhavong expressed his deep gratitude for the warm reception from the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4, as well as for their support in all tasks assigned to the delegation of the LPA in Vietnam. He highlighted the collaboration and assistance provided by Military Region 4's armed forces to the units and localities along the shared border in recent years. This cooperation has played a crucial role in improving the comprehensive training and combat readiness of the Lao units and in helping Lao localities develop their economy, culture, and society in tandem with strengthening defense and security.
