The statement was made by General Ngo Xuan Lich, Minister of National Defense, when he was inspecting the facilities under construction and supervision of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on March 31.

The project of the Army Radio-Television Center, with the General Department of Politics as the project manager, began in 2016 after it was approved by the Ministry of National Defense. The project was initiated by prestigious contractors.

Previously, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, GDP’s Director, also briefed the Defense Minister on the progress of the construction, saying that the GDP sent missions to study several modern facilities abroad and referred the project to experts’ consultancy. During the construction, the Management Board strictly followed relevant regulations of the State and received the consensus of locals, he added.

General Lich praised the GDP’s efforts and achievements in implementing the project, asking its leadership and the Management Board to continue actively surmounting any possible shortcomings and ensuring the project’s progress.

Working on the new facility of the People's Army Cinema, the Defense Minister required relevant units of the General Department of Politics to study and, if necessary, amend the construction plan, contributing to ensuring its quality, aesthetics, and efficiency.
