Speaking at the event with the province’s war veterans, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong briefed delegates on the developments of domestic, regional, and international situations, the military’s outcomes in task performance in 2021, and key missions in the coming time.

The chief of the General Staff highly appreciated the role of members of the War Veterans’ Association of Binh Duong province over the past time. With effective models and initiatives, they have importantly contributed to the province’s socio-economic development, especially ensuring social welfare, preventing pandemic, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, and protecting environment.

War veterans in the province have always preserved and promoted virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in daily life and production activities and joining local emulation movements.

The leader hoped that with rich knowledge and experience, war veterans will put forward more proposals to help local Party committees, authorities, and the military raise the quality of the building of national defense and “people’s heart” posture.

He affirmed that present troops always treasure, inherit, and bring into play former generations’ traditions, promote unity, and fulfill all missions assigned by the Party, State and people.

On behalf of war veterans in Binh Duong, President of the provincial Association of War Veteran Major General Tran Huu Tai promised that all members will strive their best to be bright examples for later generations to follow and to contribute to building the association into a reliable political organization of the Party committee, authorities, and people.
