The defense chief requested the unit to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement higher level directives on combat readiness during the Tet holiday. He emphasized strict observing combat readiness duty regulations, firmly grasping situational developments, promptly and effectively handling all contingencies.
The unit was asked to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical Tet for troops, while maintaining high combat readiness and strengthening close-knit bonds with local residents.

General Giang urged the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Military Region 1 to develop breakthrough solutions to further improve the quality of training and combat readiness, and to build a comprehensively strong, exemplary and typical unit. He also asked for the unit’s pro-active preparations for recruit reception, the launch of new training season, and participation in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The same day, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, General Phan Van Giang visited and presented Tet gifts to residents in Thai Nguyen province.
In his speech, General Giang spoke highly of the outcomes that the province achieved in socio-economic development, national defense and security, and implementation of social welfare policies despite difficulties in disaster relief efforts. He emphasized that caring for people’s livelihoods must remain a regular task, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual support of the Vietnamese nation.

On this occasion, General Giang presented 600 gift packages from the Party and State to local policy beneficiaries, workers, and disadvantaged households, and 200 Tet gifts from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to policy beneficiary families and national contributors.
