Commemorative House for President Ho Chi Minh inaugurated in Can Tho
PANO – The Military Region 9 Command held a ceremony on May 31 to inaugurate the Commemorative House for President Ho Chi Minh.
The event was attended by former Party and State leaders, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, and leaders of provinces and cities in the Mekong River Delta region.

Located on August Revolution Road in An Thoi Ward of Can Tho City’s Binh Thuy district, the project was constructed at a cost of VND 22 billion and completed on May 15.
Speaking at the event, Commander of the Military Region 9 Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Hoang Thuy emphasized the significance of the project, saying that the commemorative house is a venue for troops and people in the region and visitors to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.
He added that the project will contribute to educating young generations about national traditions and revolutionary spirit, so as to promote the implementation of the “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morals, and style” movement and raise their determination to fulfil all assigned missions.
On the occasion, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 9 handed over 94 certificates of merit to former members of the Party Committee of Military Region 9 from different periods. Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, Political Commissar of the military region, said that the certificates recognize the contributions of former Party members to the military region’s successes in leading the implementation of assigned missions.
