Ceremony held to build barrier system to protect border markers
PANO - The Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, on May 6, held a ceremony to start construction of a barrier system to protect border markers No.46/10, 46/15, and 46/16 in the border area of Dak Lak province.
In order to prevent landslides due to rising water levels of Dak Dam stream, Dak Lak provincial authorities have assigned the provincial Border Guard Command to build a barrier system to protect the three border markers.
Addressing the ceremony, Commander of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Dao Viet Hung affirmed the importance of the construction, contributing to protecting border markers along the shared borderline between the two provinces of Dak Lak (Vietnam) and Mondulkiri (Cambodia). He requested the contractors to ensure the quality of the construction as scheduled, while making preparation and working closely with relevant units to ensure safety during task implementation.

Currently, along the more than 71km shared borderline between the provinces of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri, the two governments have built seven landmarks with 11 main landmarks and 84 secondary landmarks.
