Artistic exchange highlights GDP’s 8-decade development

PANO - An artistic exchange entitled “Forever-shining trust” was jointly held on December 11 evening by the Military Broadcasting Center and relevant agencies and units under the direction of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) on the occasion of the GDP’s 80th founding anniversary (December 22, 1944 - 2024).

Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, incumbent and former GDP leaders, leaders from ministries, central agencies, Thai Nguyen and Binh Phuoc provinces where the GDP used to be stationed, were among the attendees.

At the event, introductions, reports, stories by experts, historical witnesses and typical artistic performances confirmed the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh over the building of a politically-strong military.

They also emphasized the extremely important role and position of the Party and political work, the GDP’s leadership and direction over the work in any conditions and circumstances, and the maintenance and enhancement of the Party’s absolute and direct leadership over the military in all aspects.

Performance at the event

The program spotlighted historical marks of the GDP over the past eight decades and affirmed that the GDP’s construction, growth, combat and victory are closely connected with the heroic Vietnam People’s Army’s. Therefore, troops in the whole military should raise their awareness of and responsibility for upholding and promoting good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new period so that the military would be forever entrusted by the Party, Fatherland and people.
