At the event, Gen. Quyet gave a briefing on the world, regional, domestic situations, and defense and military work, Military Party Organization building, as well as outstanding achievements in political task performance of the GDP in 2024.
He recalled that on December 22, 1944, when the 34-member Vietnam Dissemination and Liberation Armed Team was founded, a party cell with four members was also set up to lead all aspects of the team. The party cell later had a board for political affairs, marking the birth of a political agency in the military.

Gen. Quyet addresses the meeting. |
The GDP Director confirmed that it meant that when the military was formed, the Party's leadership over the military was started. That was the reason why the foundation day of the Vietnam People's Army is also the GDP’s.
Over the past years, the GDP has constantly consolidated and developed in terms of personnel and missions. It has always followed all activities of troops, well performed their strategic advisory role in terms of Party and political work, confirmed its position and excellently completed all assignments by the Party, State, and people.
