The program reflected the vanguard spirit, responsibility, and dedication among the unit’s youth while contributing to mission effectiveness and promoting the image of Vietnamese peacekeepers.
The highlight was a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) program at Bentiu General Hospital. Hospital staff and Youth Union members provided practical support by addressing material shortages, offering professional medical assistance, and encouraging their peers. Notably, they repaired deteriorated facilities and installed mosquito-repellent lighting systems in patient rooms, helping improve healthcare conditions for the local community.

In addition, the hospital’s youths participated in a collective running activity within the deployment area. Conducted in an organized and disciplined manner, the activity demonstrated the unit’s commitment to maintaining physical readiness. The synchronized movement of personnel in uniform reflected cohesion, determination, and the professionalism of Vietnam’s berets operating in an international environment.

International sports exchanges were another highlight of the program. With the participation of partner units, including infantry and police contingents and an engineering unit, the competitions were conducted in a fair and structured manner. These activities fostered a spirit of solidarity, strengthened cooperation, and enhanced mutual understanding among participating forces, contributing to raising the reputation of both the hospital and Vietnam’s peacekeeping force.

On March 25, the hospital hosted an international scientific workshop with the participation of its medical staff and representatives from five Level-1 field hospitals in the sector. The workshop focused on professional exchanges and sharing practical experience in medical examination and treatment, aiming to improve expertise and better meet mission requirements.
The series of activities also demonstrated the central role of youths within the unit. Out of 63 personnel, 34 are Youth Union members, serving as a core and vanguard force in all operations. They actively organize emulation activities and play a leading role in community engagement, external relations, and unit-level events. They also actively study and apply science and technology to their work, particularly to the medical field, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare services for United Nations peacekeeping forces and the support for local medical systems.

Youth Union members are also at the forefront of digital transformation efforts, developing and operating software systems for medical registration and patient record management. Alongside professional duties, they participate in environmental improvement activities and promote the image of Vietnam and its people within the mission area.
Upholding the proud tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the youths of L2FH Rotation 7 continue to demonstrate their determination to be present in difficult situations and wherever needed, constantly train, show their dedication, and promote their professional expertise, thereby helping build the Vietnam peacekeeping force into an increasingly regular, elite, and modernized force, making ever more active and effective contributions to the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
