An overview of the meeting |
In particular, the Military Library of Laos has just moved to a new office. Although the office building has been completed, it still lacks library facilities and equipment. Library management software is now outdated.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Lao Military Library required experts of the Vietnamese Military Library to share their experience in arranging the library’s reading rooms and bookstores in a reasonable and scientific manner.
Also, the Vietnamese experts helped Laos train library officers and staff, especially instructing them on installing e-library management software, building and using a website.
* On the occasion, the delegation met with Laos’ Department of Military Science and History.
As requested, the Vietnamese delegation supported the department in setting up e-library software and a website during their working trip in Laos.
The trip contributed to promoting the tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance between the two countries’ military.
During the working days in Laos, the delegation of Vietnam’s Military Library surveyed the operations of the Lao library system and gave recommendations to higher levels to come up with measures to support the Lao side in the coming time.
Within the framework of the trip, Colonel Nguyen Thuy Cuc handed over computers with e-library management software and printers to the Lao Military Library and Department of Military Science and History.
