Defense-Economic Unit 74 provides free medical check-ups and medicines for Cambodian people

The event saw the attendance of Senior Colonel Ha Van Nam, Second-in-Command Officer of Defense-Economic Unit 74, along with civil and military leaders of O’Yadav district and local residents.

Senior Colonel Ha Van Nam and representatives of O’Yadav district’s authorities and the Cambodian armed forces present gifts to local people.

During the program, the medical staff offered comprehensive health check-ups to 465 Cambodian locals and workers. Those diagnosed with illnesses received medical consultations and free medicines for initial treatment. Additionally, locals also received health supplements and medications for common ailments.

Furthermore, Defense-Economic Unit 74 presented 168 gift packages, including essential goods, clothes, and daily necessities, to disadvantaged Cambodian households. The unit also gave over 240 mooncakes, made by officers, soldiers, and employees of Corps 15, to children of local residents and workers.

Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Ha Van Nam noted that the program provided a vital opportunity for locals to receive medical care and enhance their disease prevention awareness amidst challenging healthcare conditions. He further highlighted the program as a key external relations initiative of the unit, aiming to reinforce the steadfast solidarity between the Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples while promoting socio-economic cooperation and improving the living standards of workers and local residents.
