In an atmosphere of friendship, openness, and mutual trust, the two sides reviewed the outcomes of recent coordination. They have regularly exchanged information, strictly observed, and effectively implemented bilateral agreements and cooperation mechanisms signed by the two Parties and States.
The two sides have maintained close and united relations, highlighted by the political, cultural, and sports exchange program held in December 2024 in Ha Giang province (now Tuyen Quang province). They have coordinated effectively in combating and preventing crimes, promptly resolving issues arising along the border, advising higher authorities and local administrations to reopen and facilitate customs clearance at several border crossings, and directing border gates to ensure swift and accurate customs procedures while maintaining border security, order, and safety.
Joint patrols combined with public outreach have been carried out four times, involving 96 teams with 960 officers and soldiers. Border posts on both sides exchanged 446 letters, held 68 meetings with 380 participants, conducted 198 phone calls, and organized 15 talks involving 133 members. The two sides have effectively maintained the twinning model of “Jointly building friendship border posts, ensuring peaceful border,” while advising border communes and townships on implementing effective people-to-people diplomacy.

The two sides signing the minutes of the talks |
In 2025, Vietnam and China celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. Looking ahead, both sides agreed to continue thoroughly implementing cooperation mechanisms and signed agreements; maintain joint patrols and inspections; and conduct legal awareness campaigns for border residents.
They will regularly exchange information and advise local authorities to coordinate working schedules and the opening and closing times of the Xin Man (Vietnam) - Dulong (China) bilateral border gate. Both sides pledged to ensure security and stability along the border, particularly during national holidays, festivals, and major anniversaries.
With the spirit of solidarity and friendship, the two sides signed the minutes of the talks and agreed that the next regular meeting will be hosted by the Wenshan Border Management Detachment.
