During the meeting, both ministers highlighted the positive results of bilateral defense cooperation, emphasizing the efforts of the two governments and armed forces. During the visit, they signed a memorandum of understanding on protecting and promoting Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments in Cambodia, on behalf of their governments.
The two sides agreed to continue implementing existing cooperation commitments, focusing on high-level exchanges; mutual support at regional and international forums and events hosted by each side; cooperation among arms and services, in military history, training, military medicine, and logistics.
Noting that 2027 will mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia, General Phan Van Giang called for practical activities to promote solidarity and strengthen ties between the two peoples. He also expressed his hope that Cambodia would continue supporting Viet Nam in searching for and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese advisors and volunteers who died while performing international duties in Cambodia.

General Tea Seiha thanked Viet Nam for its support in human resource training, praised its defense industry, and expressed his anticipation of attending the Viet Nam Defense Expo 2026 in Hanoi this December.
From October 13 to 15, General Tea Seiha is scheduled to visit Viet Nam officially, attend the annual meeting of the three defense ministers, and witness a joint civil defense exercise by the armed forces of Viet Nam, Cambodia, and Laos to respond to a super typhoon.
