The Party and State have consistently placed people’s health at the center of development. General Secretary and State President To Lam has emphasized that citizens’ health and physical fitness are vital to national strength. Sports development should help build a population that is physically healthy, mentally resilient, determined, united, and committed to contributing to the country.

A view of the launch

Making physical activity a daily habit will help build a more active society and healthier communities. Promoting sports as part of everyday life can foster optimism, help prevent disease, improve quality of life, and make health a foundation for public happiness and national strength.

On behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra urged all Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age, occupation, or place of residence, to choose at least one suitable sport and exercise regularly, making sports a source of joy for individuals, an essential part of family life, and a driving force for communities.

She also called on authorities, sectors, and local governments to translate the Party’s policies into practical action by developing convenient, safe, and accessible community sports facilities. These efforts should enable everyone to exercise and turn the campaign’s initial momentum into a voluntary, regular, and sustainable nationwide movement.
