The award of the U.N. Medal to all 63 members of the hospital is a great honor and a source of pride, as it is one of the U.N.’s highest recognitions for outstanding dedication and contributions to the cause of U.N. peacekeeping.

The medal presentation not only recognized the collective achievements of Vietnam's L2FH7 during its deployment in South Sudan, but also reaffirmed Vietnam's standing, credibility, and sense of responsibility in U.N. peacekeeping operations.

Addressing the ceremony, Major General Junhui WU affirmed that Vietnam has emerged as one of the most highly regarded contributors to U.N. peacekeeping since deploying its first L2FH to Bentiu in 2018. Over seven consecutive years of service in South Sudan, Vietnam's level-2 field hospitals have consistently demonstrated professionalism, outstanding medical expertise, and unwavering dedication in fulfilling their mission.
