Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien receives comrade Duan Ping.

At the reception, General Kien congratulated comrade Duan Ping on assuming her new post as Vietnam prepares for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The general affirmed that Vietnam always attaches special importance to its friendly relations and cooperation with China, particularly the close coordination between the Vietnam Border Guard and China’s National Immigration Administration.

Appreciating recent cooperation results, General Kien urged that, in her new position, comrade Duan Ping would continue to act as a bridge to boost delegation exchanges, young officer exchanges, and political work exchanges. He also emphasized that both sides should effectively maintain the joint patrol mechanism; enhance information sharing to combat cross-border and high-tech crimes; and facilitate border trade and travel, thereby jointly building a shared border of peace, friendship, stability, and development.
