Royal Thai Navy Commander-in-Chief visits Brigade 170
PANO - Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy Admiral Jirapol Wongwit paid a visit to Brigade 170 under Naval Region 1 on July 16 in Quang Ninh province.
The delegation was warmly received by Captain Bui Duy Tuong, Commanding Officer of Brigade 170.
During the event, Capt. Tuong provided an overview of the unit’s history, traditions, and achievements. He also shared information about the brigade’s participation in search and rescue operations, its assistance to local communities in overcoming the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi in 2024, as well as its defense diplomacy and exchange activities.

On this occasion, the delegation visited Ship 266. During the event, Captain of Ship 266 introduced the delegation to the vessel’s proud traditions and notable accomplishments, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Admiral Jirapol Wongwit and his delegation for visiting the officers and sailors of Ship 266.

For his part, Admiral Jirapol Wongwit thanked Brigade 170 for the warm welcome, affirming that the visit would help strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the militaries and navies.
