Nearly 200 new Vietnamese products to be showcased at Vietnam Defense Expo 2026
PANO - On May 28 in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee for the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026 convened a meeting under the chair of its head, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan.
After hearing reports from relevant agencies on preparations for the expo, and recommendations and proposals aimed at resolving bottlenecks and accelerating progress, Gen. Tan acknowledged and highly praised agencies and units for their pro-active preparatory work.

Concluding the meeting, he stated that the Organizing Committee has approved the master design and functional zoning plan for the exhibition area which covers a total area of more than 123,000 square meters and is divided into seven main sections. A key highlight will be the defense experience zone and military games area. Information dissemination activities for the exhibition are being intensified, while invitations continue to be sent to defense and security industry organizations and enterprises from various countries.
According to the head of the Organizing Committee, as of May 28, 73 entities and companies from 19 countries and territories had registered to participate and display products at 378 standard booths. Around 30 additional entities and companies are currently discussing participation requirements for another 142 standard booths at the exhibition. In total, 704 products are expected to be displayed at the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026, including 199 new products from Vietnam.

An overview of the meeting |
At the meeting, Gen. Tan directed the subcommittees to continue closely monitoring and reviewing plans and requirements under the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026 project, while following practical developments and directives and conclusions issued by the Minister of National Defense and the Head of the Steering Committee, in order to promptly update implementation plans.
He also called for continued coordination in developing and finalizing flypast scenarios, demonstration and performance activities, and visitor interaction programs, along with reports on security and logistics support for the expo.
