The conference was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and head of the expo’s Organizing Board.
The event aimed to introduce information about the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026, mobilize enterprises to provide sponsorship and support, and maximize social resources for the organization of the expo, thereby gradually reducing reliance on the state budget.

At the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan commended and expressed sincere appreciation to agencies, units, and enterprises both within and outside the military for their active and responsible contributions to the success of the 2024 edition. Businesses accompanied the organizers by providing financial assistance, mobilizing manpower, contributing expertise, organizational experience, design ideas, exhibition content, and communication solutions.

In his directive remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang emphasized that the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026 is an important defense external relations event, bringing together key elements to realize the Party’s major policies on international integration, defense diplomacy, and the development of science, technology, and innovation, while promoting Vietnamese culture globally. The expo is expected to reflect the vision and mettle of the Vietnam People’s Army and reinforce confidence among the public and international partners in a self-reliant, dual-use, modern, and globally integrated Vietnamese defense industry.
On that basis, the expo’s Steering Board and Organizing Board called for the continued cooperation, unity, and contributions of enterprises both within and outside the military to support the event, the Deputy Minister of National Defense added.

The Vietnam Defense Expo 2026, hosted by the Ministry of National Defense, is scheduled to take place from December 10 to 13 at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi, covering an area of nearly 150,000 square meters, with a wide range of diverse and engaging activities.
