Vietnamese contingent members welcomed with bread and salt

The Vietnamese contingent consists of 12 members who are cadets at Zhukovsky Air Force Academy in Voronezh city, Russia.

According to the head of the contingent, Staff Sergeant Bui Trong Tien, ten contingents from Vietnam, Russia, Belarus, Cambodia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Mali, Mongolia, Congo, Zimbabwe, and Tajikistan will compete in this year’s special Breakthrough event.

The organizing panel introduces three contents of the event.

Having received instructions on the event’s contents by the organizing panel, participating contingents started practice. The Vietnamese contingent has so far practiced the contents five times.  With their high determination and competence, all members of the Vietnamese contingent are now ready for the competition.

The Special Breakthrough event has three competition contents, namely maneuver to transport, reliable guard, and safe area. In the first content, an eight-member crew is required to load 450kg of goods on a lorry and drive the lorry crossing different terrains to the gathering site before the goods are loaded on a helicopter. Apart from the goods, the crew must transport 900kg of ammunition to the regulated site.

In the second content, eight members are divided into four pairs to take on different duties, which are connecting communications, clearing mines, camouflage, and crossing a fire wall.

In the third one, the whole contingent is tasked with different missions, such as fire fighting, giving first aid, changing truck tires, transporting 450kg of goods through rivers, and rocky fields, cleaning wheels with specialized tools, and more.
