He also commended the initial achievements of the Engineering Company Rotation 5. Despite having been deployed for only about a month, the unit had quickly established its operations, pro-actively assessed local needs and carried out a range of practical community support activities. Notable efforts included renovating Gun-bial School, providing support to Comboni School, and grading, repairing and upgrading a road in the Gun-bial area. These activities have helped improve local people’s learning, living and travel conditions.
Abyei’s leader noted that these activities not only delivered practical benefits to the community, but also demonstrated the Vietnamese blue berets’ sense of responsibility, initiative and sentiments toward local people. He believed that the Engineering Company Rotation 5 would uphold the positive traditions established by its predecessors, contribute further to improving local living conditions and support the area’s development.
