This marks the last 10-digit phone number prefix auctioned by regulators, supplementing numbering resources to meet the growing demand for subscribers and digital services.

As a familiar 10-digit phone number prefix, 095 offers more choices for customers seeking traditional or premium, easy-to-remember numbers. Adding this prefix not only serves current communication and digital transaction needs, but also supports the long-term development of telecom infrastructure. Securing the phone number prefix highlights Viettel’s pro-active approach to optimizing telecom resources, preparing to meet the rising connectivity demands of the digital era.

A Viettel representative stated that the new phone number prefix would soon be put into operation, ensuring that customers experience seamless and high-quality services across the group’s digital ecosystem.

Viettel currently holds the most diverse portfolio of phone number prefixes in Vietnam, including 096, 097, 098, 086, and the 03 series (032-039). The addition of 095 further broadens options for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Upon completing regulatory procedures, Viettel will deploy technical infrastructure to launch the 095 phone number prefix nationwide. Subscribers will have full access to Viettel’s telecom and digital ecosystem, ranging from mobile connectivity and 5G to various digital platforms.

According to the Authority of Telecommunications, auctioning network codes enhances resource utilization, increases state budget revenue, and establishes the true market value of telecom numbers, which is a crucial step in advancing the digital economy. Earlier in April, the authority successfully auctioned four short codes: 1515, 5151, 6789, and 9999.
