Founded in 2006 by the U.S.-based Network Products Guide, the Globee Awards for Technology (formerly the IT World Awards) is an annual program honoring outstanding global technology achievements in such fields as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and information technology infrastructure. Viettel’s awards this year span various cutting-edge technology sectors, including cloud computing, AI, Big Data, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, digital finance, and logistics.
In the cloud infrastructure and platform sector, Viettel IDC won four awards with its “Make in Vietnam” products, such as the Viettel Virtual Private Cloud (vVPC) service and the Viettel Open Kubernetes Service (vOKS) platform, both of which meet data sovereignty requirements in Vietnam. In AI, the Viettel TESSEL.AI platform, which automates retail operations across over 200,000 points of sale, and the Viettel Money digital financial platform both won “Best of Category” gold prizes.
In telecommunications, the iSpectra network interference monitoring system and the Viettel Open Gateway API standardization platform were honored for their contribution to connectivity infrastructure development.
Internationally, Viettel’s branch in Burundi (Lumitel) received an award for its role in promoting nationwide digital connectivity and developing 4G/5G mobile broadband infrastructure. Meanwhile, Viettel Post was recognized for its logistics solutions and a drone-powered emergency disaster relief project.

The Globee Awards for Technology also acknowledged several other achievements by Viettel, including Viettel Skybook (Vietnam’s first Electronic Flight Bag platform for the aviation industry), Viettel IDC’s sustainable data center development initiative, and the “Transformational Leader of the Year” title awarded to a Viettel Digital leader for their contribution to promoting financial inclusion in Vietnam.
