Trawler in distress saved promptly
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (Vietnam MRCC) on January 11 safely took troubled trawler NA90123-TS ashore.
On the previous day, the trawler with 10 crewmembers on board, captained by Bui Trung Hien from Nghe An province, went adrift due to engine failure while fishing at sea about 60 nautical miles from Hon Ngu islet off Nghe An.

Having failed to fix the problem, they signaled a mayday for help because the fishing ship was about to sink in bad weather conditions.
After receiving the alert, the center immediately sent its ship SAR 411 to the scene, approached the troubled trawler, and safely towed it, with all fishermen aboard, ashore.
