According to Major General Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Deputy Political Commissar of Army Corps 12, over the past time, the army corps has focused on promoting the “Military-civilian village” model to enhance the quality of mass mobilization work in the new situation.

Implementing the model, the units have closely collaborated with local authorities to build coordination plans and regulations. In addition, every month, units hold meetings to grasp the local situation, plan activities and tasks that need to be done immediately.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of Brigade 673 under Army Corps 12, shared that the brigade worked with the commune’s Party and People’s Committees to draft and implement a pilot plan for a “Military-civilian village” model, as well as organized activities, including education and dissemination, participated in local socio-economic and cultural development, carried out defense and security tasks, and built a strong grassroots political system, among others.

Since 2022, Army Corps 12 has implemented 24 “Military-civilian village” models. Its units have mobilized nearly 40,000 officers and soldiers to carry out mass mobilization work; contributed nearly 1.8 million working days to construct 38 model military-civilian roads, repaired thousands of kilometers of rural roads and irrigation canals; built 36 model military-civilian rice fields, helping locals with planting, care, and harvesting of crops. The army corps has also partnered to build and hand over 69 great solidarity and 8 gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries and poor households, contributing to stabilizing their life and promoting local socio-economic and cultural development. The army corps has also regularly visited and offered gifts to policy families, poor households, the elderly, and disadvantaged children on holidays and festivals.

Meanwhile, the army corps has effectively implemented dissemination work, helping to raise troops and people’s awareness of the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s law.
