At Dong Loc Junction Relic Site, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the stele house dedicated to fallen youth volunteers nationwide and at the rest-in-peace place of 10 heroic female youth volunteers who sacrificed their lives at Dong Loc Junction.

At General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb at Vung Chua - Dao Yen in Quang Tri province, Gen. Son and his entourage paid homage to Gen. Giap and expressed token of gratitude for the great contribution of President Ho Chi Minh’s excellent disciple.

Also on July 14, on behalf of the General Staff, Gen. Son symbolically handed over funds to build gratitude and great unity houses to 10 families and presented gifts to 80 policy beneficiary and disadvantaged families in Duc Tho commune, Ha Tinh province.

Addressing the ceremony, Gen. Son emphasized the humanistic and practical significance of the event, the deep sentiment and gratitude of troops in the whole military and the General Staff to local people who always stand side-by-side with the military in the past struggle for national salvation and the ongoing Fatherland construction and defense.
